The Discipline of Care series reduces domestic furniture to skeletal steel frameworks, drawing on the linear language of construction scaffolding. The series frames domestic space as regulated terrain shaped by property relations and self-discipline. Echoing the logic of the panopticon, the works reflect the internalised awareness of surveillance embedded in everyday inhabitation. Through these provisional structures, the series considers how individuals navigate displacement, uncertainty, and adaptation, revealing the fragile infrastructures that sustain contemporary life.
