The Art Labourer series is an art product designed by Lit, referencing her reflective fabric works developed since 2020. Printed with reflective material, the text becomes visible under light, symbolically revealing the labour behind artistic production that often remains unseen.

Created alongside a series of caps, the piece functions as a statement of resilience and a refusal of unequal treatment toward artists’ work. By naming the role “Art Labourer,” the garment acknowledges the labour-intensive and frequently hidden nature of creative practice.

The concept is rooted in Lit’s experience navigating world’s challenging creative environment. Identifying herself as an “art labourer,” she moves across multiple roles, including art director, scenographer, costume designer, and Cheongsam tailor, as strategies for sustaining an artistic life.

The collection brings together resilience, cultural exchange, and lived experience, transforming everyday garments into wearable statements about artistic labour and recognition.
